In 1992 the founder and owner Teus Vlot decided to start his own company. His most valuable assets were extensive knowledge of diesel engineering and many years of experience in this area. He set the company up on his own and simply chose his own name as the company’s name. The name hasn’t changed since then, but Teus Vlot Diesel & Marine has now grown to include a variety of specialist companies that together offer a broad range of services and products to customers from sectors including inland shipping, dredging and coastal navigation.

From diesel engines to full service
Diesel engineering formed the original basis of Teus Vlot and diesel engines are still one of our key product areas. They are the indispensable sources of power in the equipment that our customers use. Over the years, however, everything around diesel engines has become part of our activities, from all the pipework and the electrical installations to extensive alterations and finishing vessel hulls. Teus Vlot has therefore developed into a full-service company. We even supply entire completely new vessels. Our customers’ needs have always been the decisive factor in this process. In fact, we have always responded to their requirements and wishes.
